I was going to wait and just include this in the cover post on Sunday, but it’s far too pretty to sneak into a post full of covers:
Entertainment Weekly just unveiled the cover for Days of Blood and Starlight over on their Shelf Life page (link to the post). I absolutely love this cover. I still have yet to read the first book (I know, I know), but I wasn’t a huge fan of the cover. It was nice, don’t get me wrong, but I didn’t love it. This one I love, though.
More information on Days of Blood and Starlight:
Daughter of Smoke and Bone was declared a “must read” by Entertainment Weekly, was named a Best Book of the Year by Amazon.com, and The New York Times called it “a breath-catching romantic fantasy.”
Hopefully now that I’ve replaced my Kindle (my old one broke a little over a month ago), I can find time to actually read the first book. 😛
I’m excited to be one of the many bloggers helping to reveal the cover for Greta and the Goblin King (Mylena Chronicles, #1) by Chloe Jacobs!
The official blurb:
While trying to save her brother four years ago, Greta was thrown into the witch’s fire herself, falling through a portal to a dangerous world where humans are the enemy, and every ogre, goblin, and ghoul has a dark side that comes out with the full moon.
To survive, seventeen-year-old Greta has hidden her humanity and taken the job of bounty hunter—and she’s good at what she does. So good, she’s caught the attention of Mylena’s young Goblin King, the darkly enticing Isaac, who invades her dreams and undermines her determination to escape.
But Greta’s not the only one looking to get out of Mylena. The full moon is mere days away, and an ancient evil knows she’s the key to opening the portal. If Greta fails, she and the lost boys of Mylena will die. If she succeeds, no world will be safe from what follows her back…
Expected publication: November 13th 2012 by Entangled Publishing, LLC

I’m thrilled to be a part of the group of bloggers revealing the cover for Astarte’s Wrath (Kythan Guardians #0.5) by Trisha Wolfe. I really enjoyed Destiny’s Fire (you can read my review here), and I can’t wait to dive into this prequel!
Astarte’s Wrath by Trisha Wolfe (e-book)
Expected publication: July 2012
A Kythan Guardians Novella
Prequel to Destiny’s Fire
Descripfrion from Goodreads:
Two thousand years before Dez Harkly developed her secret powers, Kythan Astarte vowed to free the Kythans from the binds that enslaved them to the Egyptian pharaohs and sorcerers. Discover the prophecy that originated from a very different time, and spans generations to link two very different girls…This is the beginning.
Set against the backdrop of the Battle of Actium, in the city of Alexandria, Star struggles with her guardian duties as her feelings for the newly named pharaoh of Egypt grow deeper. Not only is Caesarian her duty, he’s the son of Cleopatra, and he’s…human. All of which makes their love forbidden.
But when a conspiracy linked to Caesar, Caesarian’s own father, creeps its ways into Alexandria, Star must choose between helping her fellow Kythans free themselves of their servitude, or protecting her charge—the last pharaoh—while Egypt burns around her.
Whenever the sky bleeds, covering the once-blue pallet with crimson, and the bright ball of fire burns through billowy puffs of white, staining them and the earth in hues of red-orange and amber…and ash floats on a non-existent breeze, I know the Narcolym Guardians are waging a battle.
Shuttering my window, I unloose the hemp thread, and a sheer curtain veils the sand-covered horizon from my vision. My fingers trail the cream fabric, the tips tracing the darkening clouds against the light material as my other hand curls into a fist by my thigh, dousing the swirling vortex rising up at the charge in the air.
Astarte, I correct inwardly, but pinch my lips closed. “Yes, Habi?”
Habi’s footsteps echo throughout the mud-brick room as he approaches. “It’s time…”
For those of you who have yet to read it, here is some information on Destiny’s Fire:
Published January 10th 2012 by Omnific Publishing
Description from Goodreads:
It’s the year 2040, and sixteen-year-old Dez Harkly is one of the last of her kind—part of a nearly extinct race of shape-shifters descended from guardians to the Egyptian pharaohs. Her home and her secret are threatened when the Council lowers the barrier, allowing the enemy race to enter the Shythe haven.
As the Narcolym airships approach, Dez and her friends rebel against their Council and secretly train for battle. Not only is Dez wary of war and her growing affection for her best friend Jace, but she fears the change her birthday will bring. When Dez’s newfound power rockets out of control, it’s a Narcolym who could change her fate… if she can trust him.
Dez’s guarded world crumbles when she discovers why the Narcos have really come to Haven Falls, and she’s forced to choose between the race who raised her and the enemy she’s feared her whole life.
I’m super excited to be a part of the cover reveal for My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris. I’m really looking forward to this book, mainly because I know that any book published by Entangled is guaranteed to be good. 🙂
Anyway, here is the cover for My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris, as well as the description from Goodreads and pre-order information:
Expected publication: September 11th, 2012 by Entangled Publishing
Description from Goodreads:
On the precipice of her sixteenth birthday, the last thing lone wolf Cat Crawford wants is an extravagant gala thrown by her bubbly stepmother and well-meaning father. So even though Cat knows the family’s trip to Florence, Italy, is a peace offering, she embraces the magical city and all it offers. But when her curiosity leads her to an unusual gypsy tent, she exits . . . right into Renaissance Firenze.
Thrust into the sixteenth century armed with only a backpack full of contraband future items, Cat joins up with her ancestors, the sweet Alessandra and protective Cipriano, and soon falls for the gorgeous aspiring artist Lorenzo. But when the much-older Niccolo starts sniffing around, Cat realizes that an unwanted birthday party is nothing compared to an unwanted suitor full of creeptastic amore.
Can she find her way back to modern times before her Italian adventure turns into an Italian forever?
Add it on Goodreads.
Interested? Good, now here’s an excerpt for you!
Alessandra jerks back like I just suggested she prance around the square naked or something. “No! I believe I understand your meaning, and Lorenzo is certainly not my suitor. He is like a brother to me—the three of us grew up together.”
She resumes walking and I fall in step beside her, understanding there has to be more to the story. And as we near the end of the row, I finally ask, “If you’re not into the guy, then what’s the problem?”
At that same moment, a rich, deep chuckle hits my ears. My stomach involuntarily clenches and my gaze sharpens on the back of this mysterious Lorenzo.
Alessandra sighs. “That is the problem.” She places her hand on my arm and solemnly looks me in the eyes. “You must be careful. Lorenzo is beautiful, and it is not uncommon for a girl to walk away from meeting him with a piece of her heart left behind. But he is just eighteen, and not yet ready for marriage.”
I roll my eyes and laugh, then realize she’s serious. “Yeah, I assure you, there’s no danger on my end. I’m not exactly looking for marriage myself.” Because that would be crazy-town.
Alessandra wrinkles her nose as if she doesn’t believe me, but she removes her hand. We close the distance and Cipriano flashes me an open, honest to goodness, lighthearted smile.
“Lorenzo, this is the cousin I was telling you about.”
Slowly the guy turns and I fall head first into the richest chocolate-brown eyes I’ve ever seen. He blinks and long, luscious lashes feather across his bronzed cheeks. I can feel myself gawking, but I physically can’t drag my eyes away. Lorenzo doesn’t smirk or act all conceited, either. He simply stares back, his eyes casually skimming over me, causing my skin to warm and break out in a whole body tingle.
Time seems to stop, and the sounds of the market mute. Alessandra was right. This boy is beautiful.
And he’s looking at me.

I’m pleased to be a part of the cover reveal for Inbetween by Tara Fuller, releasing in August from Entangled Publishing!
Inbetween (Kissed by Death #1) by Tara A. Fuller
I’m a huge fan of the Benny Imura series by Jonathan Maberry. If you have yet to read Rot & Ruin or Dust & Decay, you are missing out – absolutely fantastic books!
I was going through my open orders on Amazon and saw that they’d finally uploaded a cover for Flesh & Bone, so for those of you who may have missed it, here is the cover for Flesh & Bone:
Expected publication: September 11th 2012 by Simon & Schuster Books For Young Readers
Description from Goodreads:
Reeling from the tragic events of Dust & Decay, Benny Imura and his friends plunge deep into the zombie-infested wastelands of the great Rot & Ruin. Benny, Nix, Lilah and Chong journey through a fierce wilderness that was once America, searching for the jet they saw in the skies months ago. If that jet exists then humanity itself must have survived…somewhere. Finding it is their best hope for having a future and a life worth living.
But the Ruin is far more dangerous than any of them can imagine. They are hunted by fierce animals escaped from zoos and circuses. They must raid zombie-infested towns for food and medical supplies. They discover the very real truth in the old saying: In the Rot & Ruin…everything wants to kill you.
And what is happening to the zombies? Swarms of them are coming from the east, devouring everything in their paths. These zoms are different. Faster, smarter, infinitely more dangerous. Has the zombie plague mutated, or is there something far more sinister behind this new invasion of the living dead?
In Flesh & Bone, Benny Imura, Nix Riley, Lou Chong and Lilah the Lost Girl are pitted against dangers greater than anything they’ve ever faced. To survive, each of them must rise to become the warriors Tom trained them to be.
The cover for Jennifer’s new book was recently released, and I kind of love it.

Last week, I helped unveil the cover for Toxic (book two in the Denazen series) – you can find that here. Well, today I have the cover for Untouched, the novella that takes place between book one (Touch) and book two (Toxic):
Untouched (Denazen #1.5) by Jus Accardo
Expected publication: February 21st 2012
You know what else is releasing on February 21st? Shadows (Lux 0.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout!!!!
If you haven’t read Touch yet, I’d recommend doing so. It’s a really fun series with many swoon worthy moments. Kale kind of reminds me of Aiden and Daemon combined. Can’t go wrong with that. 😉
G.P. Ching just sent out her first newsletter, which contained the cover for Return to Eden. I’ve really enjoyed her Soulkeepers series so far and I can’t wait to read the final installment when Return to Eden releases.
Book description (copied from the newsletter):
Dr. Abigail Silva has waited over 10,000 years for redemption and a chance at a real relationship with the angel she loves. But when you’re made from evil itself, it’s hard to remember if salvation is worth the wait. With Lucifer’s plan coming to fruition, she must decide if God’s offer of humanity is all it’s cracked up to be, or if a deal with the Devil is the more promising solution.
Return to Eden is slated for release late February or early March.
