I know I’ve been missing over the weekend. Unfortunately, I was sick yesterday, and then today, my father took a trip to the ER. Now that things have calmed down, I’m working on getting my weekend posts up (including my review of the fantastic Chosen Ones).

NetGalley (Not Pictured):

  • The Year of the Beasts by Cecil Castellucci and Nate Powell
  • Dark Kiss (Nightwatchers #1) by Michelle Rowen

My personal NetGalley ban isn’t going so well, but these both looked interesting! Thanks to Harlequin Teen, Macmillan and NetGalley!

For Review:

  • Ascend (Trylle Trilogy #3) by Amanda Hocking

Thank you to St. Martin’s Press! I was not expecting this, so it was a wonderful surprise. I’ve already started it, and while it sucks to see this series end, after just finding it, I can’t wait to see what happens! πŸ™‚

  • The Immortal Rules (Blood of Eden #1) by Julie Kagawa

I’ve been staying clear of vampire books, but I adored Julie’s Iron Fey series so I can’t wait to read this one! And yes, I did break my own personal ban on NetGalley to download this one.

I’ve actually been waiting on these since January so it was a nice surprise when they arrived this week. πŸ˜›

For Review:

I’ve had this one on my TBR list for a while now, so it was a nice surprise when I received a copy in the mail. Thank you, St. Martin’s!

Bought:

I read The Day Before and The Catastrophic History of You and Me last year, and since I loved them both, I decided to buy copies for my bookshelves. And even though St.Martin’s sent me a final copy of Torn, I still needed to buy a copy to show my support – I’m pretty much a Hocking fangirl at this point.

Also, for all of you who have been asking…Return to Eden is out now! I won’t be reviewing it until April 13th (as part of the blog tour), but it is totally available now. πŸ™‚

Won:

Thank you, HarperTeen! I plan on reading Delirium and Pandemonium within the next few weeks. Super excited to begin this series (especially since I’ve had Delirium on my shelf since it released last year).

Bookmooch:

I actually received this one last week but forgot all about it, so we’ll just act like I got it this week. πŸ˜‰

Paperback Swap:

This was my first time using Paperback Swap, and I think it’ll be my last (only because I don’t like the way the site works). But yeah, I had a credit after sending out a book, so I figured I’d use it on a book in my TBR pile. πŸ™‚

NetGalley:

  • The Hunt (Untitled #1) by Andrew Fukuda

I’m not going to be requesting NetGalley titles for at least the next month (as I’m playing catch up right now), so this will be my last NG title for a while. It’s one I’m superrrrrr excited about though. πŸ™‚

Bought:

  • The Vincent Boys (The Vincent Boys #1) by Abbi Glines
  • The Sphinx Project (The Chimaera Chronicles #1) by Kate Hawkings (eBook)
  • Oppression (Children of the Gods #1) by Jessica Therrien (eBook)
  • Shadows (Lux 0.5) by Jennifer L. Armentrout (eBook)

Bookmooch:

  • How to Be Popular by Meg Cabot
  • Bunheads by Sophie Flack
  • I am Number Four (Lorien Legacies #1) by Pittacus Lore

I actually haven’t read I am Number Four yet, although I have seen the movie (which I didn’t enjoy). But I at least want to give the book a try. As for the other two, I’ve really been wanting to read Bunheads and I actually haven’t read a Meg Cabot book yet…so…yeah, a great Bookmooch week. πŸ™‚

There are no photos this week as I can’t find my SD card now, so I’ve listed the links to the Goodreads listings or my review posts for the books below. πŸ™‚

For Review:

Jennifer sent this a few days ago, and we just scheduled an excerpt/giveaway for June. So I’m pretty excited. πŸ™‚

I plan on doing a Mythos Academy review post for the first two books within the next few weeks.

Won:

I won an ARC of “Chopsticks” from Goodreads. I’m actually finishing it up right now, and I should have my review up within the next few hours. It’s a different kind of book, but I’m enjoying it. A lot more than I thought I would actually.

Bought:

I read Circle Nine last year and really enjoyed it, but I couldn’t pass up getting a Kindle copy for only $2.99!

Bookmooch:

  • The Bar Code Tattoo (Bar Code #1) by Suzanne Weyn

I’ve had my eye on this one for a while. It is an older book (2004), but I’ve only recently discovered it, so I’m pretty excited that I was able to mooch it.

For Review:

  • Torn (Trylle Trilogy #2) by Amanda Hocking

Thank you to St. Martin’s press! I didn’t even know this one was coming. I did a bit of a dance when I opened the package on Thursday. Can’t wait to read this one.

Bought:

  • The Hungry Mouth by Isaac Marion (signed)
  • Frozen (Cold Awakening #1) by Robin Wasserman
  • Shattered (Cold Awakening #2) by Robin Wasserman
  • Torn (Cold Awakening #3) by Robin Wasserman
  • Elixir (Elixir #1) by Hilary Duff

I just recently listened to the audiobook for Frozen (formerly known as Skinned), which I liked, so I’m eager to dive into the rest of the series. As for The Hungry Mouth, I adored Warm Bodies and honestly…I’ll pretty much read anything Isaac puts out. And then there’s Elixir, which I had no intention of reading previously, but the reviews from people I follow on Goodreads have actually been good (go figure), so I decided to pick up a copy.

Won:

  • Article 5 (Article 5 #1) by Kristen Simmons
  • Harbinger by Sara Wilson Etienne
  • Incarnate (Newsoul #1) by Jodi Meadows

I won Incarnate, Harbinger, and Article 5 from http://www.theEPICrat.com — thank you to Cecilia (the awesome person behind theEPICrat)!

Bookmooch:

  • The Candidates (Delcroix Academy #1) by Inara Scott

I definitely didn’t know that this was an ARC copy when I mooched it, but it has been on my to-read list for a while now so I’m excited.

I’ve been seriously slacking with reviews, and for that I am sorry. Life has been incredibly hectic as of late. I know I keep saying that but it really has been. I promise I’ll be back to spamming you all soon<3.
