I did record a vlog, but I decided to save myself the embarassment and not post it (TVD was on in the background and I was a bit distracted, thank you, Klaus). Anyways, one of these days I’ll do a vlog. For real. For now, here’s my normal listing of  my books this week:

Given how large my TBR pile is, it was probably dumb of me to go book shopping…but I think I made good use of my bonus from work, haha.In my defense, a lot of these I managed to snag for a good price. The first three Immortals books were only $5 (as part of a boxed set), Saving Zoe was only $1, and I had a 50% coupon for Barnes & Noble, plus Amazon does 4 for 3 on a lot of books.Couldn’t pass the deals up!

  • Anathema (Causal Enchantment #1) by K.A. Tucker (Free)
  • Starfire Angels (Starfire Angels: Dark Angel Chronicles #1) by Melanie Nilles (Free)

Karina was kind enough to send me Darkhouse (Experiment in Terror, #1) last week – which I plan to read this week – so I couldn’t pass up scoring book two and the novella between book two and book three for free on Smashwords. I really can’t wait to read this series. It sounds fantastic! As for the other books, a majority of them were all free (on Amazon and Smashwords), so I couldn’t pass them up – especially since most of them have been on my to-be-read list for a while now. 🙂

I just wanted to take a second to say happy new year to all of you. Let’s make 2012 the best year we possibly can. There are some awesome books – and movie adaptions – headed our way this year.  I cannot wait! 🙂

What are your goals for 2012?

My goals:

  • To land an agent.
  • To finish writing SUBMERGED and start writing DEPROGRAMMED (Program 13, Book Two).
  • To read at least 120 books (I managed 95 in 2011, which isn’t bad, but I know I can do better, haha.)

Number one seems far-fetched, but the other two are completely doable. 🙂

Won:

  • Switched (Trylle Trilogy #1) by Amanda Hocking

I received two copies of Switched this week. I won one copy from Goodreads. The other I randomly received (you can win that one here). Thank you, St. Martin’s Press! I’ve been wanting to read this one!

From NetGalley/GalleyGrab:

  • New Girl by Paige Harbison
  • Deadly Little Secret (Touch #1) by Laurie Faria Stolarz
  • Allegiance (Legacy #2) by Cayla Kluver

Bought on Kindle:

  • Solstice by P.J. Hoover
  • Mortal Obligation (Dark Betrayal Trilogy #1) by Nichole Chase
  • Leaving Paradise (Leaving Paradise #1) by Simone Elkeles
  • Severed (Cloud Prophet Trilogy #3) by Megg Jensen
  • Pyxis: The Discovery (Pyxis Series #1) by K.C. Neal

Yeah. That whole not buying new books thing? Clearly that didn’t last long. But I’m really excited to read these. I’ve been hearing wonderful things about Solstice for the past few months, and with a $0.99 price tag – I couldn’t resist. Same goes for Mortal Obligation. Leaving Paradise was a Kindle Daily Deal this week – I’ve never read a Simone Elkeles novel before, but I’ve heard great things about her work. I’m a Megg Jensen fangirl and while I haven’t started book two yet, I got excited to see book three available for sale and decided to just buy it early. And finally, Pyxis – I bought this one because of @Giselleco (who runs http://XpressoReads.blogspot.com/). If it weren’t’ for her, I probably would’ve never heard of this one. It sounds fairly interesting and I can’t wait to read it.

Thank you to: NetGalley, Harlequin Teen, Goodreads, St. Martin’s Press, and Disney Hyperion.

Also, I have a BUNCH of upcoming tours I’m lucky to be a part of:
